Operations Manager

Rusty is the Operations Manager for Revolution Health and Fitness at Seagulls and has worked in the fitness industry for over 30 years. On joining the Revolution team only a few months after the gym was open, Rusty has played an integral part in all aspects of the Club. He is often seen on the gym floor, personal training members, or teaching a class or 2, or 3, or 4 – you get the idea! Rusty enjoys many fields in fitness from Marital Arts, weights, and cardio.

Rusty’s love for Revolution Health and Fitness would surpass most. He is always here before sun-up and loves to mix with the members for a great atmosphere.

To say I was born for the  fitness industry is an understatement.

From the moment I could walk & talk I have been involved in dance, acting and performing. Movement and music literally pumps through my viens so of course I was destined to become a Group Fitness instructor and work that stage to bring joy to all.

I am very passionate about educating and supporting others, especially women about the importance of coming from a place of love and respect when it comes to body image, exercise, and nutrition & most of all have FUN doing it. After all your body is the most precious and valuable thing I will ever “own” and the only one you get to look after it.

After nearly 17 years in the industry as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and business owner, I am beyond blessed to be a part of many life-changing stories of people taking back their health and self-worth.

I love being a part of the Revs community because let’s face it when we are a part of a tribe, we thrive.

My name is Ashleigh Kenney and I work as a Personal Trainer. I’m all about living a balanced lifestyle, staying fit and healthy, and also having fun by making the most out of every day! I love working up a sweat in the gym so being a PT gives me the opportunity to not only do what I love but also bring positivity into others’ lives and help them become a healthier, happier version of themselves.

Remedial Massage Therapist & Personal Trainer

Hi, I have spent over 12 years in Health and Fitness managing my own fitness centre. Over the years I have made the transition from purely personal training into the prehab/rehab side which was led largely by my own lower back injury. 

In 2012 I suffered a herniation of my L4-L5 Disc. I was referred to a neurosurgeon and her recommendation was to perform a discectomy. I was 27 years old at the time and really wanted to explore every possible avenue before undertaking back surgery. I tried Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture treatments but nothing worked. After 6 months I was recommended to a Remedial Massage Therapist. We attacked my problem for the source spending adequate time on my tight, tense, and previously neglected muscles to make a lasting change. Weekly treatments over the course of 3 months, coupled with my own prescribed rehab program reduced my pain to a negligible level and removed the need for surgery.

Now, instead of waiting for pain, I have a proactive view to injury management for myself and my clients.  I believe in ensuring that my clients move well in all foundational patterns, we assess how they move and help them to implement mobility/ strength and conditioning programs to suit their body and injury requirements. These programs coupled with our soft tissue treatments help to keep them moving week, but foremost moving pain-free.
