Our Team

Rusty
I love to keep moving while training; go from one exercise to the other – no standing around. I really enjoy putting the body to the test by trying alternate movements with exercises. I don’t really have a favourite exercise, I just love training and I do it every day. Out of all the jobs in the world… the fitness field would have to be one of the best! Rusty has worked in the fitness world for over 30 years and joined the Revolution team a few months after the gym was open. Rusty is an integral part of the Revs Team.

Hi, I have spent over 12 years in Health and Fitness managing my own fitness centre. Over the years I have made the transition from purely personal training into the prehab/rehab side which was led largely by my own lower back injury.
In 2012 I suffered a herniation of my L4-L5 Disc. I was referred to a neurosurgeon and her recommendation was to perform a discectomy. I was 27 years old at the time and really wanted to explore every possible avenue before undertaking back surgery. I tried Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture treatments but nothing worked. After 6 months I was recommended to a Remedial Massage Therapist. We attacked my problem for the source spending adequate time on my tight, tense, and previously neglected muscles to make a lasting change. Weekly treatments over the course of 3 months, coupled with my own prescribed rehab program reduced my pain to a negligible level and removed the need for surgery.
Now, instead of waiting for pain, I have a proactive view to injury management for myself and my clients. I believe in ensuring that my clients move well in all foundational patterns, we assess how they move and help them to implement mobility/ strength and conditioning programs to suit their body and injury requirements. These programs coupled with our soft tissue treatments help to keep them moving week, but foremost moving pain-free.
